FAIA is an incorporated Association in the State of New South Wales. It is a dynamic organisation focusing on community issues and integration of Indian migrant community with other Australian communities.

Since its foundation in 2001, FAIA has participated in a number of community events/initiatives, such as: Australia Day under the auspices of the Australia Day Council and Indian Republic Day/Australia Day, Holi Mela at Darling Harbour, BASANT MELA at Parramatta Park. INDIA NIGHT etc.

FAIA offered its contribution to the community in the “Clean up Australia” day campaign and “National Harmony Day” organised by the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs.

FAIA has organized several seminars for the benefit of the Australian Indian community.  FAIA has also established a Benevolent Fund and has supported charity objectives such as Tsunami Relief, India Pakistan Earthquake Relief etc.

FAIA has identified a number of initiatives for the Year 2009.
